There are also sites that give a few lessons for free but say that to learn all there is to know about blues guitar, and then learning blues guitar from a DVD is the best way.  Unfortunately, many novice blues guitar players do not know the questions to ask and get tricked by the false promises made on the sites, wasting time and possibly money on materials that are of little use for learning blues guitar.

Learning blues guitar for fee is usually a scam.  Sites promote their program as the best on the market and claim that the student will be playing blues guitar within a few hours and performing for audiences in no time at all.  However, blues guitar players know that to become an accomplished blues guitar player, there are many hours of practice time, both alone and in lessons, that are required to become accomplished enough to play well in a band and in front of audiences.

Strong guitar programs, even those who allow students to 'learn' blues guitar for free, always have the student start out with the basics of guitar playing, scales, and then move into music theory and some specific scales that blues guitar players use.  Novice guitar players must practice these scales until they become second nature, allowing them to improvise using those notes.
